We look for an Art Director with expert-level production skills and a wide knowledge of branding and identity systems, color theory, typography, composition, information architecture, user interface design and user experience. All of them should allow him/her to judge the job precision, quality and skills of other designers in charge. An absolute attention to detail while also considering the overall project needs is demanded.
The candidate must be an expert in the production workflow with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator / Freehand, Fireworks and Dreamweaver. Any video application knowledge is a very strong advantage, and we also demand knowledge of HTML, XML and AS concepts also. He/she should be a skilled and motivated person to lead a talented team of producers in the production of short web-based small projects, and being able to do client-facing duties (such understanding client requests and quick turnarounds, while ensuring prompt and accurate response from the leaded team). Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
The Art Director will need excellent abilities to lead groups of work, have social skills, earn leadership among the design group seamlessly, and have the ability to work under pressure and short timelines. He/she should be able to understand the overall workflow of small projects, and also propose solutions and take decisions where considered.

The candidate will work in two levels.

1. The Art Director will work with the Design Leads and the designers on a daily basis in the projects assigned. He/she will also be responsible for achieving a high visual quality successfully in the project's completion.
2. The Art Director will be responsible interact with the Project Managers and Technical Lead to achieve success in the project completion and this client satisfaction.
3. The Art Director will report to the Managing Director to determine the best ways to improve the overall production process, as well as letting them for any issues related to the projects and the resources performance.

Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Art, Design or related field required, with 3 - 5 years experience in Art Direction.
· 1 or more years of people management experience. Demonstrated ability to work with clients with a will-do attitude.
· He should have a clear hands-on experience in design tools, while being able to develop and evaluate visual concepts and production results.
· Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire and lead teams to successful outcomes

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and ensure the following occur in the department:
· Understand improve and work according to the established production processes.
· Understand the projects, their needs and scope and establish the best resources available.
· Give clear instructions to the design team and also assign the right responsibilities for every Project.
· Manage the creative aspects for each project while doing a continued monitoring of the production
Chain, assuring the quality required by the client.
· Transmit clear instructions about who should be doing what and when it should be delivered, from a creative standpoint.
· Facilitate the work of the production team by having a continued and clear communication with every member involved.
· Explore, establish and maintain best practices in the area of design.
· Ensure proper quality in the deliverables.
· Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisors and corresponding to the nature of the position.
